The Proud Mama I'm a 35 year old woman brought into this world on February 23rd 1971 and married to the same man for 13 years, mother to 2 hilarious, extremely handsome boys and one beautiful baby boy, who was totally NOT planned, but who turned out to be the Joy of our lives, loves to drink ice tea and hot chocolate from Starbucks. There is more to me than just being a mother, I just don't remember any of it. Her Little Princes

Names are such an important thing, don't you think? People are passionate about the names they want for their children. Being able to name something/someone gives you innate power over that something/someone. A name is an inherent part of an identity. That being said, Dh and I have always been pretty much in agreement when it comes to names. So we've got a girl name and boy name we both are happy with and we'll know what the baby's name is when we manage to find out what gender the baby is. Deciding on a name is an intensely personal thing and our view is that we like the names we like and really couldn't give a stuff what anyone else thinks about them. I hope the name we choose will allow the baby to be able to learn to spell his/her name with as much ease as possible (in those early years), be dignified enough to carry them from childhood through adulthood, and allow them to be a person outside of the name we chose. :) Mamafai wrote @ 10:45 PM |

Dear Baby In My Uterus, Even though we haven't formally met yet, I already love you more than I can say and I'm sure you can feel that. I can't wait to meet you sometime between today and 120 days from now. That said, I have to say one thing. Unless you're actually on your way down the birth canal and out into this crazy world, for the love of GOD please stop bouncing your head repeatedly against my cervix. Please. I can't take it anymore. Thank you for your co-operation. Love, Mama Mamafai wrote @ 11:07 AM |

Just about 20 minutes ago the baby made such a weird movement where I felt something going straight down and something jutting out on both sides, high and low, all at once that I can only assume one of the following: 1. The baby was trying to do a jumping jack and was foiled by my squished-up organs. 2. There are actually five babies in there and my gynae was drunk and didn't notice. 3. I am not actually carrying a baby after all and any second now I am doomed to die like all those people who were hosts in the "Alien" series. I'm hoping for scenario number one. ..: Graduation :.. Passed few days had been a very hectic one for me. It started from Asyraf's K2 Graduation Concert on Thursday. Alhamdulillah all went well for him and I'm so proud of him. He did well on the announcement speech and danced well for his performance.Click here for more pics. ..: Hopital :.. Afzal was down with Gastric flu and we had to rush him to the hospital on Friday night. He kept throwing up and was also down with fever. Thank god he doesn't need to be hospitalised. Alhamdullilah he is in the process of recovering now. ..: Wedding :.. Saturday was busy setting up the Wedding cupcake for a cousin's wedding. It went well too and had a few compliments as usual :) Click here for more pics. Mamafai wrote @ 10:10 PM |

It's been a long and tiring day! Been running around finishing the last minute errands, ironing and did some baking for my marble cake fans :) . I was dead flat after Iftar. Thanks to the 2 imported personal masseurs or else I couldn't stand on my feet now ;) We had a henna nite last evening. Thanks to Jewel and Lezard for making it happened again this year. It was such a great fun! Click here for more photos. Mamafai wrote @ 11:11 PM |
