I'm a 35 year old woman brought into this world on February 23rd 1971 and married to the same man for 13 years, mother to 2 hilarious, extremely handsome boys and one beautiful baby boy, who was totally NOT planned, but who turned out to be the Joy of our lives, loves to drink ice tea and hot chocolate from Starbucks. There is more to me than just being a mother, I just don't remember any of it.

..: Phone conversation :..

I recently had a phone conversation with a good friend of mine. A good friend who is single and has no children. (Which is how she wants it and loves it). There was a time when I thought we had so much in common. Today, it is as if we are living on two separate planets. I listened to her talk about her new home. She found a fabulous apartment in the downtown area. She regaled me with tales of the incredible antique pieces that she been able to acquire for the apartment. I looked around my humble home and took an inventory of the stuffs that adorned it. Hers cost a fortune. Mine are priceless.

She went on to talk about her new glass top tables and beautiful plush white carpet. She asked me if I knew of any good carpet cleaners since she "may need it one day". I glanced down at my stained and well worn carpet and replied, "I just use vacuum cleaners". She laughed in a way that told me she thought I was trying to be funny. I chuckled with her so as to not ruin her illusion of my home with a clean carpet. Finally, she asked me what was new in my world. I ran through the things that had been big news in our house recently. My youngest no longer use diapers. He is now learning to differentiate colors. My oldest son has a crush and he thinks she may like him back :). He had just been circumcised and is now addicted to his playstations.

"But what about you, Fai. What is new with you?" I paused and thought. Then replied, "But don't you see? That is what is new with me. All of these milestones are milestones for me too. It means they are growing up and becoming their own people. Good people. That means, I am doing a pretty damn good job of this parenting thing right now". She got quiet. She thought about my life. She thought about how different we are. How our lives are so foreign to each other. "I don't know how you do it", she said almost sound sadly. I smiled to myself and replied, "I don't know how you don't".

How can it have been 12 years already? It was just yesterday that I was holding your hand, wasn't it? Or was it a million lifetime ago that I last saw you? Sometimes it feels like both statements are equally true.

Scary how time just moves on, whether we want it to or not...

..: What The #$%@*^&! :..

The management I work for sucks. MNC company but think and work just like a typical local company! It's really a mess! It's humiliating! Never in my 15 years of working life have I came across big assholes like them!

Have you ever had a review on top of ur performance review? I mean 2 reviews? Why? Was it because they never did a good review the first time that they had to have another review on top of the 1st review?? What a crap!

And still had to make me wait 2o mins later and then 1 hour later... why? cause their meeting is more important then me? This is really a living hell...I have been putting up with this far too long...I think I had enough!!!

This is a good one...received this from a working collegue...

From a strictly mathematical viewpoint, it goes like this:

What Makes 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%? Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 103%? What makes up 100% in life?

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions:

If: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z is represented as: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26

Then: H-A-R-D-W-O-R-K 8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11 = 98%

And, K-N-O-W-L-E-D-G-E 11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96%

But, A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E 1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5 = 100%

And, B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T 2+21+12+12+19+8+9+20 = 103%

AND, look how far ass kissing will take you A-S-S-K-I-S-S-I-N-G 1+19+19+11+9+19+19+9+14+7 = 127%

Thus, one can conclude with mathematical certainty that, while Hard work and Knowledge will get you close, and Attitude will get you there, Bullshit and Ass kissing will put you over the top.
